National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. A great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

ReplyDeleteI know you probably get wind of Norristown Library events long before I do, but there was one I thought might be of interest to your readers.
On Monday, September 10, from 6-745pm, they are going to do a "Cookbook Club", whereby people choose a recipe out of that month's cookbook, prepare it, and bring it to the library to share--not only the food, but their experiences preparing it. Cookbook Club been run for several years at the Free Library of Philadelphia's PCI branch with great success; I suggested it to Cliff Hirst at MC-NPL and he's decided to run with it. Now his contact information on the events calendar is not correct--it's actually chirst@mclinc.org.
