Audubon at Riverfront, Music Downtown, and a Book Signing

Lots of activities this weekend, but don't worry ~ the tax deadline is Tuesday the 17th. Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday.

Saturday, 8 am, meeting beside Municipal Hall (235 E Airy) for Block Captains participating in the Town Clean-up.

Saturday, Noon at Riverfront Park (1 Haws Avenue). John James Audubon Center will provide environmental education activities. Bring your kids and learn about our river, native plant species and local wildlife. FREE.


Saturday, 7 pm at August Moon. The Last 2nd Saturday Jazz Night until the fall. The Tony Smith Quartet performs.

Saturday, 8-11 pm, Five Saints Distilling (Green and Main). Sinatra favorites by Pete Cannella. No cover.

Sunday, 2 pm at Coffee Talk (507 W Marshall). Book Signing. Audacity by Shan-Tay Mercedes Watson. For info, call 484-612-3179.

Tuesday, 6:30 pm, Municipal Hall. Council Workshop.

Next Saturday, 1-4 pm at Montgomery County OIC (Basin and Arch). For Earth Day, The Norristown Project is inviting a small group of 15 volunteers to assist preparing our garden for the spring crop. Sign in is at 1 pm. To RSVP, email sashe@montcooic.org.

Next Saturday, 2-3 pm, Norristown Public Library Youth Services Department. Recycled Earth Day Crafts. Make some fun crafts out of old CDs, magazines, plastic bottles, and more. For kids in grades K-6. Drop in. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. For info, 610-278-5100 x205.

On Saturday, April 28, 11 am-4 pm at Selma Mansion (1301 W Airy). The Ladies of Selma II-Rescheduled. FREE and open to the public. Norristown Preservation Society takes another look at the feminine side of our American past. Learn about the Women of Selma Mansion, historical women’s clothing, and the surprising political histories of pockets and pot holders. Help churn fresh butter. Sample historical recipes. Music and more. Drop in.
