Ghost Hunting, Flu Shots, Theater, etc.

Saturday, 9 am-5 pm at Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library Youth Services Department. LAST DAY! Library Card Sign-Up Month. Kids in grades 0-12, if you don't have a card and sign up for one this month, you'll receive a free book and bookmark, plus be entered in a drawing to win a $25 Amazon gift card. Saturday, 8 pm at Theatre Horizon. Staged reading of "The Laramie Project." Other performance on  Sunday at 3 pm (Friday, sold out). One weekend only. Tickets at this link.

Tuesday, Eisenhower Middle School Gym. Youth Basketball begins. 13-16 years old. Register before at Municipal Hall (M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm).

Tuesday, 3:30-6:30 pm, Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library Community Room. FREE FLU SHOTS for Montgomery County residents, by the Montgomery County Health Department. Put it on your calendar now (we already have flu cases in our area). If you are a Medicare beneficiary or have health insurance, please bring insurance cards. Tuesday, 6-8:30 pm at Montgomery County OIC (1101 Arch). Financial Empowerment Course. Tuesdays through November 8th. FREE and open to the public. Dinner and childcare provided. Learn about budgeting and other topics. Hosted by Habitat for Humanity, Montgomery County.

Tuesday, 7:30 pm, Municipal Hall. Council meeting.
Wednesday, 8-10 am, Coffee With A Cop at Dunkin Donuts, 151 West Main Street. This is a national endeavor designed to build relationships between the Police Department and the community it serves. There are no agendas, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and an opportunity to meet the officers that serve you! Please come out and meet with representatives of the Police Department, relax, and have a cup of coffee with them!

Thursday, 11 am-2:30 pm, in front of the Courthouse. The Norristown Farmers' Market. Stop by Thursdays through October 25.

Next Friday, October 5, Timshel Coffee, 104 E Main. Art Show Open House for Greater Norristown Art League.(GNAL) Family, friends and public are welcome to come and join in the excitement. October 1-31st artwork from GNAL will be on display and for sale.
